As with all church ministries, our Confirmation program depends heavily on volunteers to make it a success. There are multiple ways to serve as the parent/guardian of a Confirmation student from chaperoning events like retreat and Pilgrimage to overseeing and participating in our many service projects throughout the year (Bingo, Lenten Suppers, Soup Kitchen, etc.).
As we prepare for another year, we're looking for even more ways to involve families in service together. In fact, we'd like to see 1 or 2 parents involved in every service project. With that said, we're requesting that at least one parent/guardian of each student be Virtus trained so that we can call on you if needed.
This is not a commitment to serve but gives us the flexibility to call and ask if you can help at any given event. This really is a fantastic way for you to share in the Confirmation experience with your student. Additionally, being Virtus trained gives you the freedom to serve anywhere in any ministry within the Parish, not just Confirmation events. And, it couldn't be easier. . .
